The Surrey team included individuals from three Departments in the Faculty of Arts and Human Sciences: Psychology, Politics and Sociology. The team was led by Professor Martyn Barrett, Professor of Psychology, who was also the PIDOP Project Coordinator, the Coordinator of WP1 and the Co-coordinator of WP4 and WP8. Other members of the Surrey team were: Professor Nick Emler, Professor of Social Psychology; Dr. Roberta Guerrina, Senior Lecturer in Politics and Professor Rachel Brooks, Professor of Sociology, who were the Co-coordinators of WP2; Dr. Tereza Capelos, Senior Lecturer in Politics, and Dr. Ian Brunton-Smith, Lecturer in Sociology, who were the Co-coordinators of WP5; Nicholas Walters, Visiting Senior Fellow in Politics; Professor Patrick Sturgis (University of Southampton); Dr Dimitra Pachi, Research Fellow; Dr. Cristiano Bee, Research Fellow; and Dr David Garbin, who was the PIDOP Project Manager.
University of Liège, Belgium
The Belgian research team included members of the Faculty of Psychology and Sciences of Education, the Department of Political Sciences, and the Institute of Human and Social Sciences. Dr Michel Born was the Belgian team leader. Other members of the Liège team were Dr Claire Gavray, Dr Bernard Fournier, Charline Waxweiler, Laureen Poncelet and Line Witvrouw.
Masaryk University, Czech Republic
The Czech team included researchers from the Faculty of Social Studies at Masaryk University in Brno. The team was led by Professor Petr Macek, Professor of Psychology and Head of the Institute for Research on Children, Youth and Family. Other members of the Masaryk team were Dr. Ondřej Císař, Associate Professor of Political Sciences, Dr. Mojmír Tyrlík, Associate Professor of Social Psychology, Zuzana Petrovičová, Research Fellow, Kateřina Vráblíková, Research Fellow, and Jan Serek, Research Fellow.
University of Jena, Germany
The team in Germany was led by Professor Peter Noack, an educational psychologist, who was the Coordinator of WP7. The team was further composed of Dr. Burkhard Gniewosz, assistant professor for educational research, Professor Monika Buhl, a specialist in economics education, Dr. Alison Benbow, a lecturer and postdoctoral researcher, Katharina Eckstein and Alexandra Kuhn, scientific co-workers, and Philipp Jugert, research fellow.
University of Bologna, Italy
The team in Italy included members of the Department of Sciences of Education “G.M.Bertin” of the University of Bologna. The team was led by Professor Bruna Zani, a social and community psychologist, who was the Co-coordinator of WP4 and WP8. Other members of the Bologna team were Elvira Cicognani, Associate Professor in Social Psychology, Paola Villano, Associate Professor in Social Psychology, Cinzia Albanesi, Assistant Professor in Social Psychology, Graziella Giovannini, Associate Professor of Sociology of Education, Department of Sociology, Alberto Bertocchi, Research Fellow, and Davide Mazzoni, PhD student in the Department of Education.
University of Porto, Portugal
The team in Portugal included members from two Departments of the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences at Porto University, most of whom were members of the Centro de Investigação e Intervenção Educativas (CIIE). The team was led by Isabel Menezes, Department of Education Sciences, who was the Co-coordinator of WP6. Other members of the team included Helena Araújo, Full Professor in Sociology of Education, Joaquim L. Coimbra, Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology, Laura Fonseca, Assistant Professor in the Department of Education Sciences, Tiago Neves, Assistant Professor in the Department of Education Sciences, Sofia Marques da Silva, Assistant Professor in the Department of Education Sciences, Pedro D. Ferreira, Assistant Researcher at CIIE, and Norberto Ribeiro, Research Fellow. Örebro University, Sweden
The Swedish team was led by Professor Erik Amnå, a political scientist. Other members of the team were Professor Margaret Kerr and Professor Håkan Stattin, Co-directors of the Center for Developmental Research at Örebro University. The members of the Örebro team work together in the Youth & Society (YeS) research unit at Örebro University.
Ankara University, Turkey
The team in Turkey was led by Dr. Tulin Sener, an educational psychologist. Other members of the team were Professor Figen Çok, an educational psychologist, Dr Mustafa Sen (Middle East Technical University, Ankara), a sociologist, and Ayşenur Ataman, Sümercan Bozkurt and Naciye Gizem Danışan, Research Fellows.
Queen’s University Belfast, UK
The Belfast team included members of the Schools of Psychology, Education and Politics, International Studies and Philosophy at Queen’s University Belfast. The team was led by Professor Evanthia Lyons, a psychologist and Director of the Centre for Research in Political Psychology (CResPP), who was the Co-coordinator of WP6. Other members of the team were: Professor Yvonne Galligan, a political scientist and Director of the Centre for Advancement of Women in Politics (CAWP), who was the Coordinator of WP3; Professor Shane O'Neill, Professor of Political Theory, Dr John Garry, Senior Lecturer in Comparative Political Science; Dr Cillian McBride, Lecturer in Political Theory; Dr Karen Trew, Reader in Psychology; and Dr. Victoria Montgomery, and Dr Patrick Martens, Research Fellows.
